Perched over pristine turquoise waters, there is no other place to be than on the private deck in the infinity pool, taking in the breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean.  Glass panelled floors allow observation of the exotic marine life, while steps lead directly onto the soft sandy lagoon for a refreshing dip.  The bathrooms are partially open-air and feature i-Spa bathtubs.  Facilities in room: King-size bed, shower room, hair dryer, safe, pillow & soap menu, satellite TV, CD/DVD player, MP3 Station, LCD Screen, WIFI, air condition, butler service, & external dining area.

Beach Villa:

Ocean Villa:
This villa reflects the tradition and cultural heritage of the Maldives.  Carvings inspired by the 100-year-old Mosque on the nearby ‘Utheem Island’, as well as other traditional Maldivian crafts enhance the interiors.  Continuing the rustic theme are the beds, made of teak in its original form.  The expansive terrace features an infinity plunge pool, a traditional Maldivian swing - un'dhoali - and an over-water hammock.  There are separate areas for lounging, dining and sleeping, as well as air conditioned bathrooms with i-Spa bathtubs and rain showers. Grand Beach Pavilion:

Land Activities:

• PLAY - A fully equipped gym, comfortable lounge, library, state-of-the-art home entertainment system for movies and karaoke, Wii and Playstation games, pool table and virtual golf simulator are all put together in one place to provide hours of fun and relaxation throughout your stay.  Open daily from 07h00 to 23h00.
• Bungee Trampoline - One of the unique highlights of Manafaru, children and adults will love bouncing their time away on this popular trampoline.  Open on request from 16h00 to 18h00.  Weight limit: 10 kg – 85 kg.
• Tennis Court - Singles or doubles, tournament or just plain fun.  Enjoy some tennis during your stay.  Tennis balls and rackets can be hired and court bookings made at PLAY or through your Villa Host.  Open daily from 07h00 to 23h00.  Children below 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
• Shopping - Retail therapy can be found at Zahl, specialising in jewellery from Sri Lanka and luxury Italian boutique Spherique, which sells clothes and accessories from the world's top designer houses.  Open daily from 10h00 to 22h00.

Water Activities:

• Swimming pools - The resort’s three swimming pools, with their different settings, are ideal spots for relaxing throughout the day – in a lush tropical environment or surrounded by turquoise waters and white powdery sands or in the Kids'Club.
• Water sports - The Waldorf Astoria Maldives VDWS certified water sports school, offers complimentary non-motorized water sports, including windsurfing, canoeing and sailing on catamarans (upon presentation of your license). Qualified instructors provide essential guidance and refresher courses.  All motorized water sports, including jet ski, banana tub and waterski are chargeable.
• Diving & snorkeling - With the guidance of an experienced PADI dive team (PADI Golden Palm 5 star facilities), explore some of the most exquisite dive sites and marine life under the unchartered waters of the Haa Alifu atoll.  Comprehensive diving courses are offered for all diving levels.  All diving activities are chargeable.  Each guest is provided with a complimentary set of snorkeling equipment to explore the nearby reef and marine gardens.
• Deep Sea Fishing - The waters around the Maldives offer some of the world’s best deep-sea fishing grounds.  Whether on a traditional 'dhoni' or fully equipped fishing boat, this sport is an exhilarating experience.  The best time for fishing is usually during the monsoon seasons: the Hulhangu from May to September and Iruvai from December to April.
• Excursions - Excursions are offered both on a Maldivian Dhoni and a speedboat, featuring cultural visits to local inhabited islands, traditional Maldivian hand-line fishing and snorkeling trips.  Two nearby private islands provide the perfect backdrop for the ultimate castaway experience.

Kids' Club:
