Refreshing style on the bay of Balaclava!

The InterContinental Mauritius Resort Balaclava Fort is located on one of the most pristine stretches of beach overlooking the Bay of Balaclava. Offering 210 well-appointed rooms, the resort is just a few metres from Baie aux Tortues, which was named by the 17th Century sailors after the many tortoises in the area. A trip to the Central Market of Port Louis reveals handmade crafts and cuisine representing the different cultures and ethnicities of Mauritius.

The hotel has 140 Deluxe Ocean rooms (56m²), 20 Deluxe Terrace rooms (89m²) which have whirlpool and private roof terraces, tastefully laid out for our guests’ greatest comfort.

To compliment this the hotel also features 40 Family Rooms (72m²) and 10 Presidential Suites (300m²) complete with their own private hot tubs, terraces and balconies, all beautifully designed for guests to relax and make the most of the stunning views of the Indian Ocean.

All rooms are equipped with Internet access, 42-inch LCD televisions, air conditioning and have 24-hour room service. Every bathroom features a bathtub, walk-in shower, double basin, 17-inch LCD television.

Angsana Spa is based on the use of aromatherapy, the therapeutic sense of touch, and a fusion of techniques from the East and West to refresh and rejuvenate the body, mind and spirit. It is conceptualized and managed by the award-winning Banyan Tree Spa. Angsana Spa features seven treatment rooms including two double rooms for couples, designed with contemporary vibrancy and serenity to complement the authentic spa experience fully equipped and supervised gymnasium with sea view. The restaurants have distinct environments and specialize in different cuisines, but all use the freshest local ingredients to make dishes that reflect the multitude of cultural influences that reside in Mauritius. The finest tastes and textures, colours and flavours from Africa, India, Western Europe and the Far East are found in the sumptuous cuisine on offer.

Noble House Restaurant:
Noble House is an Asian Fusion restaurant serving Asian food and Tepenyaki in a modern and elegant atmosphere. The chef offers creative presentations made with authentic Asian ingredients and spices. Try the Chinese Noodles, Roasted Duck or Grilled Prime steak served with Asian mushrooms and balsamic teriyaki sauce. The bar features an extensive wine list as well as a selection of Asian beer and special Asian-style cocktails.
