Located 50 meters away from the magnificient beach of Anse Volbert next to the beautiful Cote d'Or beach Le Duc is ideally situated on the best side of the island. The calm and crystal waters of Cote d'Or makes it the perfect beach to relax and enjoy the perfect holiday.

The new rooms vary in size but are all decorated in a similar contemporary style with dark wooden furniture, brightly coloured bed-spreads, crushed silk curtains and feature walls. The floor is tiled in pale stone, the walls painted white and offset by ceilings which are beautifully panelled in timber. There is a full-length mirror and dressing table with a large circular mirror, wall-mounted television, and a cabinet containing a minibar and tea and coffee making facilities. The beds are very comfortable and are made up with fresh white linen and flanked by bedside tables and hanging lamps with pearlescent shell lampshades.

The en-suite bathrooms are tiled in beige stone and have integrated shelves and hanging space all along one wall. In the bathrooms there are large oval bath-tubs, double sinks perched on gold-flecked black granite work-tops and a large mirror. Separate cubicles house the walk-in shower and toilet, and privacy is maintained by frosted glass doors. There is a line for hanging up washing in the shower and a clothes horse outside. Hair-dryers, shampoo, shower gel and soap are provided.

Each of the new rooms has a balcony or terrace with comfortable loungers and a table and chairs. These overlook the landscaped tropical gardens and pool (there is no sea view from these rooms). The balconies between the rooms are only partially divided by trellising so are not particularly private.

No matter what category you choose, all of the rooms at Le Duc du Praslin are spacious and all of the rooms are air-conditioned except for the four older standard rooms which used to belong to Café des Arts. These rooms have ceiling fans and are more traditionally decorated with white-washed walls and wooden floors and furniture. The bathrooms are dated in comparison with the newer rooms and have shower cubicles but no bath-tub. The beds have mosquito nets and a fridge is provided. Each of these rooms also has its own terrace with comfortable cushioned chairs and table.
